Migraine is a sign that something is not right in the body. Where the pain occurs in the head is also an indication as to what is lacking in the body. A pain on the left side behind the left eye may indicate a shortage of Zinc. Pain occurring beside the right eye indicates a shortage of Iron. Pain in the back of the head may mean a shortage of Choline, which is sometimes deplated by coffee drinking. Pain behind the right ear could mean a need for Potassium. Pain behind the left ear could indicate a Sodium deficiency, a need for L-Glutamine which is depleted through alcohol consumption, or a Niacinamide shortage caused by Nicotine.
Testing for Zinc: MRT point located on the front of the lower right torso, midway between the hipbone and the pubic bone in the area where at pants crease would extend upward from the right leg.
Corrections for Zinc: Lean beef, soybeans, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, cashews, tuna fish, peanuts. Better absorbed when taken with Vitamin A, Calcium, Copper, Phosphorus. Effectiveness is diminished by lack of phosphorus.
Testing for Iron: Down an inch or two from the Zinc point. More toward the pubic bone. The "crease" betwee the leg and the torso on the right. When iron is low in the body, the headache will begin on the right side of the head halfway between the eye socked and the temple. It can then expand to above the eyebrow behind the eyeball. Too much iron can cause a headache on the right side of the head in the same spot but will disappear upon the intake of zinc.
Corrections for Iron: Molasses, kelp, Yellow Dock, beets. Green veggies contain iron. More effective when taken with Vitamin B12, Folic Acid.
Note on Iron: Extremely dark stools mean an overdose of iron. Coffee & tea drive iron out of the body.
Testing for Choline: MRT point is located in the direct center of the back of the head. One inch above the occipital b. on the back of the head. Have client place right index and pointer finger on it. Pump left arm. Choline is one of the few substances to penetrate the blood/brain barrier.
Corrections for Choline: Lecithin, Wheat Germ, Egg Yolks, Green leafy veggies. More effective when taken with Vitamin A, B-Complex, B-12, Folic Acid, Inositol, Linoleic Acid.
The pituitary gland must be fed in order to correct this as well. The herb gota kila, amino acid L-Ornithine, Vitamin E and Vitamin B6. Alfalfa also nourishes the pituitary because it has teh potassium and sodium that will help retain body fluid.
Testing for Potassium or Sodium (see Rheumatoid Arthritis)
Migraine - Other Locations:
On Top of the Head -
There is a difference between the brain area and the top of the head. The top is not the brain, it is the pineal gland point. The herb Wood Betony is the correction for this type of headache. Wood Betony contains choline as well.
Above Both Eyes -
Indicates sinus trouble governed by the pituitary gland. Underneath the front of the brain, straight back behind the nose.
Two other major causes
Aluminum in the system: Caused by cooking in aluminum. Corrections are chelation or amino acid L-Cysteine and the herb Sarsaparilla.
Consipation: Causing poisoning of the blood. Corrections are Cascara Sagrada and Bayberry.
Essential Oils
Young Living says migraine is usually due to colon congestion. Recommendations: The Cleansing Trio, Blends M-Grain and Clarity, and single oils Helichrysum, sandalwood, basil, rosemary, peppermint, lavender, marjoram, Melissa, German chamomile, Eucalyptus radiata. Topical application includes 1-2 drops to temples, base of neck, center of forehead, and at nostril openings. Massage on thumbs and big toes.

Very interesting. Didn't know that coffee and tea took iron from the body. No wonder I have low iron!
